Welcome to Barnwood Doodles! We are a small family-based breeder located in the beautiful mountains of Shushan, New York. We live in a quiet log cabin on 30 acres with our dogs and toddler.

Health Testing

"Health" isn't a buzzword here; it's an ongoing standard. Every parent dog in our program is genetically tested through Embark and cleared through the OFA (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) for hips, elbows, patellas, eyes and heart.
Temperament First
A cute puppy is great, but a calm dog is better. We specifically select parent dogs based on intelligence, personality, and temperament. Our dogs are not just breeding stock; they are our family members. They live in our home, cuddle on our couch and play with our child.
Advanced Puppy Curriculum (ENS & ESI)
Consulting
We don't just wait for our puppies grow; we actively build their resilience. Starting on day 3, we utilize Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI). These science-backed methods activate critical brain pathways to jumpstart their learning ability. These methods also help to increase stress tolerance and build adaptability. The end results are smarter, more well-balanced, resilient puppies ready to make the transition into their new homes.
